Death is something that comes for us all. No escaping .Its the one thing we all have in common. . Death has touched me in a profound way. From my own experiences with loved ones passing. To being present and assisting death as a nurse. We tend to forget that Death is as sacred and as beautiful as life. Palliative care is close to my heart and will always be. It is such an Honour to be able to just be there, when a person takes the Journey home. Also being there for family and friends is a big part of it, to explain what “medically” is happening as the body is preparing to go home, or a as shoulder to cry on. No words are needed sometimes; we can heal with our presence also. If as nurses/ carers/ healers we can make the transition less painful for all, it’s a good death. I am most passionate about “dying a good death” That we did above and beyond..to ensure every detail from “dying wishes” to the needs and comfort of those left behind is treated with respect, love and integrity. There are many faces of death, (not just a literal/physical death) which we all encounter at some particular point or another as we are walking our path. Particularly when we loose a loved one. We can come face to face with it on a daily basis: Denial, Anger, Grieving, Acceptance, Releasing, and letting go. Rebirth is what awaits, that is the gift of death. My Guides come in around death and offer that innate inner wisdom, to trust the process of death. AA Azriel ~I first saw him over 10 yrs ago as the Angel of death. He is a constant reminder to me of how truly loved we are and brings comfort to all those who need it. He has helped shaped my belief that we return home and death is not the end. The soul really is magnificent as when it is leaving this world as to when it is coming in to it. Rainbowalker

Ethics of practice? Who has made their own code of conduct relating to their chosen work? This is something I've been sitting with for a while.
As I am in two worlds..One clinical, where we have a code of conduct and ethical responsibility to the lager community and are held responsible for our actions. In my other world, I am a healer/reader and there are minimal regulation's for that. Morally I would like to think there is a code amongst the more esoteric modalities that we practise under. Its a doubled edged sword in the healing business.. as healers we have a responsibility to assist and help, but in no way to interfere or put our opinions on others. However I have seen it done time again albeit with the best intentions. I was reflecting on past readings that I myself have had personally. I was told when I was 27 that I would leave my husband and marry another. (still hasn't happened,I'm 44 now) The woman became very upset with me,when I told her nothing is set in concrete though. She argued that this was the path I was on and it was chosen for me,I was highly amused with the amount of energy she focused on me leaving my husband. Now if I had believed every word she said, would I have left him ? Who Knows? Another reading, I was told to stay away from witchcraft, I think I was in my 30's then and already a practising witch, I asked why..She replied "it's no good for you" Its evil! ahhhh I later found out She was practising progressive Christian, good for her! I have had some awesome readings too , don't get me wrong. I am just very aware of the power that readers can have over peoples lives. I'm sure you have all heard stories where people won't make a move without contacting their clairvoyant or astrologer. People tend to go for readings or healing when they need guidance..usually very overwhelmed and having something major going on around them. So of course you are vulnerable when this occurs. Working as a Nurse has honed my skills in this department I reckon. You may know something, but you just can't blurt it out! You may feel it and see it, but ethically you know where boundaries are. The mind is a powerful tool and if you enforce your own agenda onto someone, they may manifest it, as it becomes their reality and main focus. I think as Practitioners we have practice from a ethical place. We don't know it all and certainly nothing is destined..You can change your future. Rainbowalker PS This was a blog post I saved to my drafts, Middle of last Year..I have made my own code of conduct since :) Witchcraft, as the name suggest, is a ‘craft’ practised by witches. Witch craft is usually associated with women. Witchcraft, in fact, was known as the ‘The Craft of the Wise.”’ It was so called because those who practised it lived close to the nature and practised healing arts, divination and herbal remedies. Definition provided by Discovery channel : 1. Witchcraft is a pagan religion with a long history that stretches back to the beginning of human time. Witches, shamans and medicine people performed rituals that influenced the gods and goddesses that early humans believed ruled the world. Witches were originally thought to be healers who nurtured as well as destroyed. But belief in such power inevitably inspired fear, as well. Witches, who were predominantly women, were often forced to live on the outskirts of acceptable society. Witchcraft has evolved over the centuries to encompass a wide variety of beliefs and practices There are so many definitions provided , from being satanic to earth warriors. If you feel drawn to this ancient practise, follow your own wisdom.Trust what you feel. Don't let anything thing define you and how you connect to your higher spiritual knowledge. ~Rainbowalker~ The Thing About Angels Ok I say say Angels , and some people run a mile! All they can think of is the big, white winged beings made popular by iconography and religious institutions. It can be off putting for some. Others embrace the thought and know all about the Angels. Angels come in many forms. I see Angels everywhere..It may not be how you "see" them. I see them in the trees, sky, earth.I feel them when they are around. My Angels don't show up as tall winged beings. To me they are energy that is different..some may call it "fairy" energy some may even call it "Star " energy. I got out of my own way in trying to SEE them as other's do. Now I see my way. Find your own way to connect to this beautiful loving energy that is there for everyone Its how you "see" or feel that counts. ♥ Rainbowalker Healing Properties of Elestial Quartz Keywords: Energy infusion from the higher realms, Divine love, angelic communication, grounding the Higher Self in earthly life. Love watching them fly by and hearing their wings on the breeze. It did however get me to thinking. (Sometime that's Dangerous)! If they have come out of their cave,Maybe its time for us, as well to venture out ? Last year was a epic hermit style year. The Cave was a solace to many. Me included..love the cave. This year it feels different, somehow? There is still some resistance on stepping out when retreating back into the cave feels safe and secure. The Unknown awaits for the brave, New beginnings, chance meetings and synchronicity of being where you are supposed to be for opportunities that await you. Slowly but surely, taking baby steps. Hear The Bat Call..Time to come out ♥ Rock On Rainbowalker This morning I was reminded of the "Desiderata" I grew up reading this every day..when I was sad or angry ..It mellowed me out. Such Beauty filled words. Wise, peaceful & profound. Bliss on this day to you and yours. Rainbowalker Ps Listen to the music as you read. Instant Bliss bomb ♥ Desiderata Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. © Max Ehrmann 1927 |
